OBGYN at CHA Ilsan Medical Center
The obstetrics and gynecology department at CHA Ilsan Medical Center, which boasts a world-renowned history of 60 years, is striving to continue to be the “most preferred hospital” that provides the best medical care for ‘women and children’ and delivers the best outcomes with the highest satisfaction.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at CHA Ilsan Medical Center consists of three centers: Birthing Center, Gynecologic Oncology Center, and Fertility Center. Furthermore, we also specialize in medical treatments for high-risk pregnancy, prenatal diagnosis, drug counseling during pregnancy, genetic counseling, minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopic, robotic surgery), urogynecology, and gynecological tumor.
Birthing Center
The Birthing Center is a 'safe' delivery center that considers the safety of the mother and the fetus as top priority, and operates a separate obstetrics intensive care unit specifically for managing high-risk pregnancies. Medical staff are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition, we provide a total service for women's health by establishing an integrated expert nursing care service and newborn specialists who leads the neonatal intensive care unit that is equipped with highly advanced medical equipment.
Gynecologic Oncology Center
The Gynecologic Oncology Center is committed to prevent, diagnose and treat cancers that occur in women (cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian and fallopian tube cancer, and peritoneal cancer, as well as various benign tumors and diseases that occur in female reproductive organs). In particular in the field of surgical treatment, the latest surgical trend which is the microinvasive surgery, has become common. Laparoscopic and robotic surgery is performed not only for benign tumors, but also for advanced malignant tumors. In particular, single-port laparoscopy and single-port robotic surgery are performed through a single hole in the navel area, allowing quick recovery with minimal surgical scars and less bleeding. It maximizes patient satisfaction after surgery. The Gynecologic Oncology Center not only focuses on treatment of uterine and ovarian diseases but also focuses on fertility preservation for women of childbearing age and is increasing the chances of pregnancy through active treatments with the Fertility Center.
Fertility Center
Since its establishment in 1984, CHA Fertility Center has been continuously researching and developing which resulted in Korea’s first baby to be born after a successful IVF, Korea’s first ICSI, world’s first pregnancy and birth outcomes following a successful IVF with immature oocyte and world’s first pregnancy and birth outcome after successful vitrified embryo transfer. Through this, its value is already recognized worldwide. Moreover, in 1998, at the joint meeting with International Federation of Fertility Societies and the American Fertility Association, CHA Fertility Center was recognized by the world's medical community and won the best paper award. CHA Fertility Center at CHA Ilsan Medical Center will strive to increase the success rates of pregnancy through the latest fertility treatment methods as well as prevent genetic diseases and overcome repeated miscarriages by utilizing clinical experiences and know-how that has accumulated over the past half century.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of CHA Ilsan Medical Center will continue to do its best to provide 'safe labor and delivery for mothers', 'best treatment for women with cancer', and 'joy of new life for infertile couples'.
